Audio Description Describer/Director
The Audio Description (AD) Describer/Director works within client's Marketing + Communications Video Accessibility group. The Describer/Director works within a small team of describer/directors, audio engineers, and voice talent to create descriptive audio tracks to accompany their English-language marketing video content.
Primarily, the team makes customer-facing content for their website accessible; this includes short product videos, how-tos, shot-on-device demo content, and more. Long-form content such as product launches and other keynote addresses are also a core responsibility of the audio description team. Additionally, the team supports select internal-facing content like employee communications meetings and training videos. The Describer/Director should be flexible and able to adapt to the various styles, workflows, and schedules different types of content require.
This role works closely with other post-production teams (especially Closed Captioning and Compression) as well as Video Producers, Video Delivery Managers, and assorted Accessibility stakeholders. An ideal candidate will be familiar with both audio description/video accessibility issues as well as the video production pipeline, although training will be provided to candidates without.
